For sale is my 2011 Porsche Cayman. The car is finished in rare Macadamia Metallic paint over a tan leather interior. Power comes from a 2.9L flat-six engine mated to a PDK transmission with paddle shifters – no push buttons, proper paddles! The exterior has been protected by front- and lower-quarter PPF and ceramic coating, while the interior has been regularly conditioned using Griot’s Garage leather conditioner. The 18” alloy wheels are wrapped in Michelin PS4S tires with plenty of life remaining. Nicknamed “Penny”, this Cayman is ready to thrill its new owner for many years to come.

The car spent the majority of its life in California. The car was originally sold and maintained by Porsche Rocklin in Sacramento, CA. The Porsche Rocklin Service Center has full records of this car, with receipts indicating that all minor and major services were completed per factory guidelines. I purchased the car in 2020 with approximately 80,000 miles. Under my ownership, the car was maintained by an independent Porsche specialist in Annapolis, MD. Receipts of all maintenance and service items are available, and I can gladly connect you with the mechanic responsible for completing service.

The car has been lovingly owned and maintained throughout its entire life, and the condition of the vehicle shows it. During my ownership, the car has always been fully warmed up to 175 degrees before the engine exceeds 4,000 rpm. I am incredibly proud of this vehicle and have taken care of it accordingly.

The interior of the car also shows wonderfully. The wood grain trim on the dash, shifter, and handbrake show no signs of wear. The factory carpets have been replaced with custom-made carpets from Lloyds Mats – the OEM mats are included with the sale, but not currently installed. There are no dead pixels on any of the LCD screens, and all buttons in the infotainment stack show as new. No worn buttons, no sticky knobs! The Bose high end sound system sounds great, no blown speakers. The subwoofer built into the passenger footwell adds a great punch. There is minor wear on a few of the soft-touch plastic surfaces, see photos. The frunk button has an odd characteristic – you must press it down while you pull it up, if that makes sense. Regardless, it opens flawlessly every time.

The perforated leather seats are heated and in excellent condition. There are no stains or tears, the leather presents as one would expect of a car with half the mileage. There is minor wear on the driver’s seat bolster (pictured).

Mechanically the car is sound and needs nothing. There are no known leaks and the engine consumes no oil. The oil has been changed with Mobil 1 full synthetic every 5,000 miles like clockwork, and transmission fluid services have been performed in accordance with professional guidance. The transmission shifts smoothly and responds instantly to the paddle shifters.

The car is completely stock with the exception of an aftermarket intake. This intake sounds incredible – from low RPM, you’re able to hear the engine breathing air right behind you. Low-medium applications of throttle brings a fantastic wooshing sound, it’s intoxicating. Push the throttle hard in the mid-range RPMs for a throaty, full sound, followed by the flat six truly singing at higher RPM as only a Porsche can. It truly must be heard in person to be appreciated – the audio captured by my iPhone in the included video does not do it justice. The exhaust is unmodified, the car will not disturb your neighbors even while you’re grinning at the induction woosh as you pull away from a stop sign.

There is a faulty TPMS that occasionally lights up on the dash. The sensor has been replaced, but continues to have intermittent communication errors with the car. The OEM headlight bulbs have been replaced with LED bulbs for a more modern look. The computer does not recognize these bulbs and occasionally alerts that a headlight is out. The OEM bulbs are included if you wish to resolve the issue; personally I prefer the look and functionality of the modern LED versus the xenon factory bulb.

This car has been an absolute joy to own and drive. I would be delighted to buy it back someday, but until that time comes I hope you’re able to achieve as many smiles per gallon as I have over the past three years.
